I am completely covered in paint : D
God I love painting. I love having my hands an arms and shirt covered in it. I love the smell, I love the feel of creating, I love the feel of making something old look terrific and new. It’s been a good night.

I can't escape it.
I have never watched one episode of Lost. But everyone, everyone talks about it, posts about it, or like my brother, absolutely raves about it. Now that the entire series is over, I could probably watch it.. won’t have to worry about the breaks in between seasons and what not..

My affinity with counting time.
I have an obsession with antique clocks. I collect pocket watches. I adore old styled alarm clocks. Especially anything before quartz. Back before quartz was used in clocks, all were mechanical. Meaning you had to wind them. I have a fabulous clock made to look like an antique hanging on the wall by my door. It is rustic looking, and is a map of the world (antique maps are another, albeit milder,...

Day 5/30 - Book Challenge
Day 5 - A Non-Fiction Book That You Actually Enjoyed This is insanely difficult for me. Not because I don’t like non-fiction books, entirely the opposite. I find that non-fiction books are by far the best reads for me. Whether it’s My Life In France by Julia Child and how she found true love, her true calling, and truly battled all of the odds, to Stolen Innocence, a book about a...

Day 4/30 - Book Challenge
Day 4 - A Book That Reminds You Of Home This may sound like a joke, but I promise you it is not. The book that reminds me of home is The Cat In The Hat by (take a wild guess) Dr. Seuss. Not only does it remind me of my spontaneous and albeit sporadic childhood whenever I pick it up, the story itself draws parallel to my everyday life. 1. Having absolutely insane pets 2. Having crazy people...

Please, please, please. Stop being interested in me. You’re adorable, and a very good friend, but you really aren’t what I’m looking for. To be precise, I’m looking for a second job, a way to get food on the table, a roof over my head, and eventually a way into university. A man could only hinder the progress I’m making towards bettering myself as a person. My life...

Day 3/30 - Book Challenge
Day 3 - A book that surprised you (bad/good) A book that surprised me.. Lets see.. Most of the time, I start a novel knowing exactly what I’m getting myself into. Even when a book is written by an author I’ve never heard of, I can usually tell how good the writing is/ how good the book is going to be within the first few sentences of starting the novel. And I’m enough of a...

Day 2/30 - Book Challenge
Day 2 - Your Least Favorite Book Okay. This one I know for sure. My absolute least favorite book is Blame it on Paris by Jennifer Greene. I was given a big box of books by my ex’s mother, and most of them are utterly fantastic. She gave me the complete collection of all Anne Rice novels, and a ton of Harlequin novels, which suits me pretty well seeing as I’m a lonely, avid-reading...

My life is based on a series of coincidences.
It’s very odd how things work in my life. I’ll think of something, and it will appear. I’ll watch a movie, and there will be a quote from it, or a picture about it within moments on my dashboard. I’ll remember a book, and though I’ve told no one about it, my uncle will drop by and give me a copy. I’ll need a Tuesday off, and my boss asks me to switch shifts;...

Day 1/30 - Book Challenge
Day 1 - Your Favorite Book What a disgustingly difficult question. So hard to answer. I have many books that I’ve read time and time again, ones that I adore, ones that I love for different reasons. So I have to choose, eh? I’ll go by the standards of if I could read only this book and no other for the rest of my life, I’d go with AudreyRose by Frank De Felitta. Gorgeous ...
